spring in a bucket

spring in a bucket

I've had a shift in thinking over the past few days. Ever since fall you've all read my complaints in my flower captions regarding wishing it were spring already. Why was I wishing my life away? And for what? For tulips? Whenever I'm jonesing for tulips I'll just go to the store and sneak some shots on the sly (I got scolded by this store's manager back in November for taking a picture - which I thought was stupid, but whatever). I need to start appreciating every day, be it fall or winter. Now that I think about it, I love fall and winter; I love boots and sweaters, the changing color of the leaves, the excitement and anticipation of that first snowfall . . . life is very beautiful and I need to stop wishing it away . . . just give me spring in a bucket.

Btw, I made myself cry when I sat back and read this. I'm a sap, even for my own words I guess. :-) And I do wish this was just a wee bit more in focus; like I said, I have to snap these flowers on the sly so I don't get scolded again. Eek!
